Halloween Poem
Whether it is a princess, prince, cat or dog, picking a costume can be serious business. Halloween is the only time of the year a preschooler can be whoever or whatever they want to be. The only other thing that is as fun as picking out costumes is singing silly Halloween songs. Here is a song that will keep the action going at any preschoolers Halloween party. With the fun movements that are included, everyone will be laughing and having a blast! Just follow the instructions between the parentheses that are after each line.
Halloween Poem
Spooky eyes,(Make circles with your hands and put them around your eyes)
(With your hands,“pull” at your make believe hair)
Witches and wizards everywhere.
(Wave your pretend wand through the air)
Kitty cats,
(Show your kitty whiskers with your hands on your face)
A ghost or two,
(Wave your arms above your head, like you are a big tall ghost)
Candy corn for me and you.
(Pretend to hand out candy corn)
Silly clowns,
(Squeak your pretend clown nose)
Kings and Queens,
(With your hands place a “crown” on your head)
So many things you can be!
(Wave your arms wide, showing how many things you can be)
Jack-O-Lanterns,
Pointy teeth,
(Make fangs with your pointer fingers)
Knock knock, who’s there-Trick or Treat!
(Pretend to knock on the door and say “Trick or Treat”)
