Good Morning Song

This short song is a wonderful way to help your preschooler welcome the day! Good Morning to the Day is a song sung to the tune of the Farmer in the Dell. It is easy for preschoolers to memorize and is fun for teachers to use in a group as well. Starting the day by singing and saying hello, is a great way to build lasting relationships with your preschoolers. The Good Morning to the Day song is a fun way for children to learn each others names and make many new friends!

Good Morning to the Day!

(Sing to the tune of Farmer in the Dell. When you get to the quotes, fill it in with a name. I will use mine as an example.) Good morning to the day,
“Danielle” is here today.
It’s time to learn,
Now it’s your turn,(point to the next person to stand)
To stand and say your name.

Directions to Good Morning to the Day!

Start the activity by having everyone sit in a circle. The leader will stand up and start with their name first and when they are done with their verse, they will point to the next person and then they will stand, going in a counter clockwise direction. Have everyone that says their verse keep standing until the last person says their name and then end with a round of applause!
