Father's Day Poem

Here is a special poem for that special someone, Daddy! Father's Day is a special day and what better way to help your preschooler express their love than in a poem. It is a great way to start to teach preschoolers basic rhyming skills. Every second and fourth line rhyme. Have your preschooler try to come up with their own descriptive words for daddy. This Father's Day poem is nice for the older children trying to prepare for kindergarten as well as helping preschoolers with early reading skills.

My dad is very special.
My dad is very smart.
My dad is very funny.
I love him with all my heart.

I always want to see him.
I always want to play.
And even if he's busy,
He does not send me away.

Thank you for many smiles.
Thank you for adventures too.
Thank you for being my hero,
I am very thankful to have you!
